Every now and then a song comes on the radio that I love. I mean really love. I'm talking let's-listen-to-it-40-times-in-a-row love. Even-though-I-should-get-out-of-the-car-now-that-I'm-here-I-can't-because-the-song's-not-over love. Sometimes it's by someone I know. Sometimes by a person or group I never knew existed. The last one was James Blunt's You're Beautiful. Here's the current one: Snow Patrol's Chasing Cars .

Trapped inside this snarky exterior lies a romantic. How can you not love these lyrics?!

Seriously, that was too much. I had been trying to block out the loss of Denny all summer! I love him, too. Now I definitely can't wait for the new fall season!!! And nomadjf, the only person I can think you are is a cute blonde I used to work with, yes?

hey, would you like to see the nursery?

After a very productive week/weekend, the nursery is just about done. I think the only thing I want to do is whip up a simple padded headboard and Hubby needs to trim down the legs on a little footstool. That's it! Finally! So without further ado... This is what you see when you walk in the door. Too bad the baby won't be able to appreciate it right away. (And I'll apologize right off the bat for having some wonky-colored photographs in this post. I just don't have the energy to fix things. At least on my monitor, the above pic is roughly true-to-life.) Would you like to see that awesome rug a little better? Man, I love it. It was the one splurge for the room but it has such great colors, fun animals and designs, and is round. All my criteria were met. Love. Here's the corner with the crib.
