twice in one day

So I'm about to send an email to all my peeps out there to let you know about my blog. I was going to explain why I started the blog in said email. However, I figure I might as well tell you about it here.

Where to begin? For those of you who have been around since A&M (or before), you probably know or at least have heard of Joel (or Joela...which is a whole other story in itself). We lived in the same dorm and thus had some of the same friends. Well, sometime in 2004 (Joel could clarify) he and his lovely wife moved to NYC. They started their own website and blogs. I've been religiously reading them ever since. This may be a good time to mention that I've never met Mrs. Joel but I feel like I know her. I like her. She seems to be a good match for her husband (which is good what with them being married and all).

Well, one thing led to another with boredom at work one day and I started reading a blog that Mrs. Joel had linked on her blog (Pigs). I love Pigs…

or maybe not

While I've thought of some things to write about, I haven't actually taken the time to do so. Instead of consuming all of my time, this may end up like journaling...I have lots of good intentions and little follow through.

You'd think that maybe I'm not writing because I've just started a new job, am going through lots of training but nothing terribly exciting. I haven't traveled (well, traveled like what has become "normal" in the last year) for weeks. But here's the catch 22--once there are things to write about (like crazies in the airport and whatnot) I won't have as much time to write. And, with all the stories you hear about people getting fired over blogs, one needs to be super careful in mentioning anything that has to do with work. And, seriously, my personal life has not been that exciting lately.

Then, on the other hand, I write about personal things or random happenings. What will I have to talk about with actual human beings…

the plunge

or the boredom...I'm not sure which. Regardless, here I am in the land of blogs. At least I'm not working on a MySpace page, right? Isn't this more respectable? Now we'll just have to see how much of my free time goes into this. I imagine it will be addictive and I'll suddenly look up and be of retirement age...
