I am. I'm smitten. I like The Boy.

So of the million and one things swirling around in my head, one of them is this: I think at some point a girl goes from being attracted to someone who would be a good fling to wanting someone who would be good for a real relationship. The bad boy vs. good guy thing.

If you think celebrities (or perhaps pseudo-celebrities), one of my Fling picks is Ty Pennington. Sexy, a little crazy, high energy, and knows he's all those things...

Conversely, (also from Trading Spaces carpenter world) my Keeper guy would be Carter Oosterhouse. Still super attractive but seems very Midwest, humble, the super hot guy next door (that no one ever has in real life).

OK, at first I thought that picture of Ty was a picture of The Boy and I was thinking, "Whoa! He's hot!!! And! He looks like Ty Pennington!"

I think Mario Lopez is way hottttt. But he's a bad boy. He'd totally be a fling.

I don't guess I am a fling kind of girl either...because I can't think of anyone. But the picture of Ty is really nice and boy is he handy. Seems tho that the energy he has on TV would get annoying.

What is that old saying about people are eventually attracted to "their parents"; meaning people like their parents. It's funny that both your fling and keeper are carpenters and our Dad was a welder. Makes you go hmmmmm....

Wow! You and I have exactly the same taste! And I think I too am at the point where I am looking for a "good guy." Too bad most of the good guys seem weird and/or boring.

I got sick of the bad boys about the time I met Bubba, and he was, and is, DEFINITELY the marrying kind! I knew he was a 'good guy' from the first, but never found him boring at all. I think that's my no. 1 advice to all my non-married friends....make sure your guy makes you laugh. Bubba certainly does that!

My celebrity fling would probably be Orlando Bloom. The keeper would be Brendan Fraser.

I hesitantly admit that I thought Ty Pennington was gay for a while. Something about his mannerisms...

Ah, being smitten is such a good feeling!

My fling would be Hugh Grant. Yes, I know he's not hot in the conventional sense of the word. But, I hear he's a 'bad' boy and he makes me laugh. My keeper would be the guy who plays the husband on the show "Medium" as the character is just a great husband. Funny, charming, and helps out a lot. Neither are conventional, but they make me feel good.

hey, would you like to see the nursery?

After a very productive week/weekend, the nursery is just about done. I think the only thing I want to do is whip up a simple padded headboard and Hubby needs to trim down the legs on a little footstool. That's it! Finally! So without further ado... This is what you see when you walk in the door. Too bad the baby won't be able to appreciate it right away. (And I'll apologize right off the bat for having some wonky-colored photographs in this post. I just don't have the energy to fix things. At least on my monitor, the above pic is roughly true-to-life.) Would you like to see that awesome rug a little better? Man, I love it. It was the one splurge for the room but it has such great colors, fun animals and designs, and is round. All my criteria were met. Love. Here's the corner with the crib.
