My word, it's been a whirlwind 2 1/2 weeks since the wedding... All of The Hubby's things have been moved in and I'm guessing more than half of it has been put away. That's meant that I go through all the items I own to purge and make room. So far, I've made it through the kitchen (whew), living room, dining room, hall closet, guest bedroom and closet (also whew), guest bath, and office (blech). That leaves the linen closet, our bedroom/bath, the sunroom (nightmare), and garage (not looking forward to it). I'm not gonna lie to you people. Moving him in has been difficult. I've lived here on my own for almost three years. You've seen my house. It's pretty much filled. He doesn't really come with a ton of stuff in comparison but it's been hard for me to change things and hard for us to compromise on where we want to put stuff, etc. Add to that that we're now living together and I haven't been traveling much so we're almost

I haven't done a 10 on Tuesday in a LONG time. This week's was particularly applicable so I thought I'd get back in the saddle. This list was taken from my vows (we wrote our own). 10 Thing I Look For in a Romantic Interest Handsome (listed first only because it was obvious at first site) Smart (listed second because it was obvious immediately following "handsome") Funny Creative Open to new things Romantic Moral Fun to be with Loving A little bit quirky in an endearing way There were a few others listed in the vows but I'll just stick with 10.

We've been married a little over a week. Many folks have asked me how married life is... Well, it's pretty similar to engaged life so far. The Hubby and I didn't live together before marriage. He was a stickler. He did spend weekends here and I'd spend a night or two at his place during the week if my travel schedule permitted. And he's slowly been moving things in for weeks now. We're not leaving for the honeymoon until next Wednesday, and I'm not changing my name until we get back. So I guess that makes for last week looking pretty similar to the ones before. In addition to me going back to work last week, we had a little leisure time, packed and moved most of his belongings, went through some of my stuff to make trash and garage sale piles, assimilated his stuff, and started planning a baby shower. I also finally got on the Facebook bandwagon. And we caught one of the raccoons that's been ravaging our garden. A little late, I might add. Bu

Getting married really takes a lot out of you. On Saturday night, The Hubby said he had so much running through his head. I welcomed him to my world. That's how it's been for weeks. Finally, though, after sleeping in my own bed and taking a few naps, I'm starting to feel more like my old self. My old self who is now married. Crazy. Before we get to wedding recaps, perhaps I'll share a few parties with you. I now have pictures from our engagement party (back in the beginning of the year) and two showers (one in June and one in July). All were fantastic. Here's the engagement party (our buffet, live guitarist, and end o' evening picture): Up next? The family shower, where I learned that you can't take good pictures of me while opening presents... And the second, friends shower... There were a few better pictures at this one. What? You're not satisfied with bad pictures of me? You've been to parties before (although I doubt any thrown by as

I really do want to post about the wedding since I want all the details recorded but that may have to wait for a bit. I'm still so tired. And, of course, I want to be able to show you some pictures but those won't be done for awhile. I'll leave you with some pre-wedding stuff. Here we are (super cheesy and then a little goofy) immediately after getting our marriage license. Here are some of the flowers before my lovely bridesmaids, friends and I turned them into fabulous bouquets and arrangements. And here is my frugal husband (whoa) watering our plants (see the watermelon?!) with leftover beer. If you squint you can see his ring. More to come... And I guess I can send you to my photographer's blog post about my bridals.

In less than 48 hours I'll be a married woman. Freaky. This last week has been a bit frantic. Last weekend my bridesmaids (minus one) and I all headed to the country. We ate and shopped and did a wine tour/tasting and ate crafted and ate and slept and ate and went home. And I was also gifted some lingerie. Amidst all of that we have some really good conversation. It was so nice to take a break from everything and just run away with some of the people who have meant the most to me over the last several years. Thanks, ladies! But I tell ya, as soon as we were headed back in the direction of home, the anxiety ramped up again. I had a few projects to finish up but wasn't doubting that that would get done. And they did. On Sunday even. So I haven't had a ton of stuff to do this week. Just last minute organizing and errand running and vow writing and delegating. But it's mostly done. I honestly do have some things I should be working on now but I thought that could wait a few
