we interrupt the regularly scheduled program...

You know, of no mid-week posting, to bring you this. If you haven't already seen it floating around the blogosphere, there was a meeting of a bunch of lovely ladies recently. They were working on their life lists and goals and dreams and whatnot. You can read about it here and here and here.

One of the things the ladies were asked to do, is to pick 5 things off their life list that they would really work on in the coming year. And then ask for help making one of them happen. You can join in, too.

Here are my five:
  1. Have a child. (And because that one may cause many of the others on my list to be delayed a bit...)
  2. Find the perfect mac n cheese recipe (still working on this one).
  3. And the perfect coconut cream pie recipe.
  4. Become a confident swimmer.
  5. Write a letter to a different person each week for a year.

How about you? Goals? Dreams? Ability to help me with any of these--mainly 2 & 3?

Even though we've never met, I feel like we have so much in common! I follow all those lovely ladies too!

My current favorite mac and cheese recipe is: http://smittenkitchen.com/2008/05/marthas-macaroni-and-cheese/

I think you've already done this one? Or was it another from Smitten Kitchen? I can't remember. I love the decadence of this recipe (and the white cheddar, a must for me!), but it separated out in the fridge, so definitely not a good leftover recipe.

My mom makes an excellent coconut cream pie that used to be my grandma's recipe. I'll try to get it from her and maybe you can give it a try?

Good luck!

I don't think I've tried this mac n cheese recipe. Thanks for the link! I also have AN ENTIRE COOKBOOK of mac n cheese recipes (that was a kind gift).

And I'll take anyone's grandma's coconut cream pie recipe. :) I may have a few recipes for it stashed away myself but it's a hard one to mark off the list as multiple (crazy) people in my life don't enjoy coconut.
