Do you ever make jokes that people don't get? How about jokes that people don't even realize are jokes? How about you're doing a presentation and you make a joke and then move on and then later the audience giggles just realizing you're joking? Yeah, me neither.

We've had a gathering of sorts of our business unit. Over 1,000 people. Small, intimate little affair. The main presentations felt like those giant mega-churches. Lots of music and special effects lighting. It's been very surreal. Just need to make it through until noon tomorrow. Then it's a leisurely remainder of my time here, soaking up some sun. Oooh, ahhh...

I make jokes people don't get all the time.

Sometimes I come home, after a long day, and laugh at my own wit.

I like to call those jokes that don't catch on until later "joke grenades".

Some of my favorite jokes are the ones others don't get. It makes the jokes so much more fun.

Happens all the time. There have been very few people in my lifetime that have actually gotten my sense of humor. But I laugh at myself often. Heh.
Yep, here too. Maybe we should all get together - if we think our own jokes are funny then maybe we'll think each other's are!

Personally, I think I'm hilarious. Others probably beg to differ...

It's really funny when one student is completely clueless and the others are right on board with the joke. Most of the time though I'm left alone and adrift as the only person in the room that knows a joke has been made. In my classroom anyway.

I'm known for puns, and people don't get them all the time. But I think it's even funnier that once I explain it (99% of the time) THEN my audience bursts out laughing. So when I laugh, not only am I enjoying my own wit, but I'm laughing at them as well :-)
