jeans, jeans, jeans

Since we've been talking fashion, I thought I'd fulfill the request to talk about skinny jeans. I don't like them. Not on men or women. Not tucked into boots. Personally, I go for straight-legged or boot cut or even slightly flared. While we're on the subject, I also hate super baggy jeans, jeans with pleats, jeans without back pockets, and wearing denim from head-to-toe. I never thought I'd like jeans with stretch in them but the ones at GAP are super comfortable. I still usually go for a pair without stretch, though, and am sad at how hard that is to find. And now I hear black denim is back. That saddens me. Who knew there were so many avenues when it comes to this topic?! How do y'all feel about skinny jeans?

I agree on most of those statements. I do not like skinny jeans because there are few that can pull them off (tho I bet Bubba's Sis and Bubba's Mom can). It scares me that they are coming back (hello 80's!) and makes me want to run out and buy about 15 boot cut/flare leg jeans to stock up until the skinny jean goes out of style again. Anyone who has ever watched "What Not to Wear" knows that only those without hips or thighs can pull off the skinny jean. Give me curvy any day.

i cant fit in to what i think you would be calling "skinny jeans" so i would have to say for that reason alone i hate them and those that can wear them...lol

BUT you would not believe what we saw yesterday at a dinner...LEG WARMERS. Yes I said LEG WARMERS from lets say Flash Dance. High School age girls with little tiny jean mini skirts and LEG WARMERS. Are they coming back? Someone please tell me that these girls must have been coming from performing in a back to the 80's play.

I see leg warmers a lot here in NYC. Disgusting.

Don't like skinny jeans. The wrong people wear them.
No skinny jeans here - being skinny already, they just make me look like a toothpick (or Dwight Yoakum....). I like a straight leg or a boot cut, too - something I could wear a boot under if I needed to (and sometimes I need to). They gotta have back pockets - gone are my Rocky Mountain Jeans days. And I'm kinda into hip-huggers, too. Don't want anything around my waist!! I do wear a lot of jeans, tho - it's just about all I wear once the weather gets cooler (or if I don't feel like shaving my legs). Levi's are my favs.

NO LEG WARMERS!! Been there, done that, NOT going back! Something else I'm seeing is leggings under the mini skirts. So 80's.

I can't wear any of those specialy jeans. Unfortunately, my body frame does not allow it. However, I found some old navy low cut (not too low) boot cuts. the feel right, not to tight nor loose. I think I look ok in them. I will stick to these until I loose weight and are able to wear other styles.

I have had the same urge, Anglq (stocking up on bootcut/flare leg jeans)! Skinny jeans scare me! And not only that, since stretchy jeans are so popular, it's skinny, stretchy jeans, which are like, let's be real, basically denim tights! Who wants that?! Nora, I know the Old Navy jeans you speak of. I love them too!! Except the pair I have, one leg is longer than the other. But they look great otherwise!
