the bandwagon

I'm jumping on it. You can now find a list of books I've read this year down there on the bottom right. Given that it is the end of July and I'm getting older, I can't remember all that I've read. It doesn't help that when I'm finished with books I pass them along to one of the people who lists herself as Anonymous. When Anonymous gets back from vacation she'll have to help me make the list more complete.

Just thought I'd acknowledge the change. Oh, and there's a new link under "blog heroes" for Geek. Visit her, too. And I spiffed up the hit counter down there. We're getting fancy around here. More later...

So are you old school altering the html programming or is there a feature I'm missing for the blog? This is all very new to me and I'm wondering if I should invest in some literature.

I'm old-schoolin' it. The poll and the hit counter I downloaded off of free websites. On the Blogger page they have little snippets about various features you can add but they direct you to other websites to get them. If anyone else has info, we'd all appreciate it!

Rory? Ah, such wonderful memories...I have not read the book, but I have seen the movie (I recommend it). I'm maybe a little disturbed that she said you were like Garp. What does that mean?

hey, would you like to see the nursery?

After a very productive week/weekend, the nursery is just about done. I think the only thing I want to do is whip up a simple padded headboard and Hubby needs to trim down the legs on a little footstool. That's it! Finally! So without further ado... This is what you see when you walk in the door. Too bad the baby won't be able to appreciate it right away. (And I'll apologize right off the bat for having some wonky-colored photographs in this post. I just don't have the energy to fix things. At least on my monitor, the above pic is roughly true-to-life.) Would you like to see that awesome rug a little better? Man, I love it. It was the one splurge for the room but it has such great colors, fun animals and designs, and is round. All my criteria were met. Love. Here's the corner with the crib.
