the saga continues...

Update: The dog mentioned yesterday seems to be doing well. Other than being really swollen (and somewhat embarrassed about that), he's pretty close to his normal self. He was wagging his tail to see me and his mother, he was sneakily trying to eat people food, he was playing with toys. Yea for him!

The MCI people are all spawns of Satan. I hate them all. I don't recommend them to anyone even if they are your only option of carrier. Use smoke signals, send pigeons. Your odds of communicating are better that way. I had someone from AT&T visit yesterday to do the work on the outside of the house (at around 2:30). He said someone from MCI would be coming to do the inside stuff. OMG So I called MCI since I love talking to them. They said someone from there would come out within 48 hours. Really? It's Friday afternoon. I highly doubt it. Do you think someone could call before they come out or am I now expected to be under house arrest for 3 straight days? Oh, sure, they'll call. Well, I'm leaving town for a 3-year-old's birthday party. They won't come this weekend. But even though technically I don't have phone service, I can plug the phone in and actually use it. This is nuts. And why I haven't had a landline for personal use in years.

Glad to hear the doggie is well. I cringed when I read the first entry.

Aaaaaaand, all phone companies are spawns of the devil. Has anyone had any positive experience with any of them? (non cellular, that is) And after my 37 minute talk with Reliant's moron about how they screwed up, I also think the electric company is closely related.

I need a real blogger name....any suggestions? I have been clicking on 'other' and typing in intitials. Would like to have something fun!!

hey, would you like to see the nursery?

After a very productive week/weekend, the nursery is just about done. I think the only thing I want to do is whip up a simple padded headboard and Hubby needs to trim down the legs on a little footstool. That's it! Finally! So without further ado... This is what you see when you walk in the door. Too bad the baby won't be able to appreciate it right away. (And I'll apologize right off the bat for having some wonky-colored photographs in this post. I just don't have the energy to fix things. At least on my monitor, the above pic is roughly true-to-life.) Would you like to see that awesome rug a little better? Man, I love it. It was the one splurge for the room but it has such great colors, fun animals and designs, and is round. All my criteria were met. Love. Here's the corner with the crib.
